To obtain some technical performances (pressure, output), the Cementing Units can be equiped with one of aforementioned equipments without reducing the volumetric efficiency of triplex plunger pump. The equipment is mounted in a liner able for each type and dimensions of plunger. The liner seales against hydraulic body with a "U" gasket and an "O" ring. The liner is fixed with a threaded sleeve which is common for the entire range of liners. The sealing pack (high and low pressure pack) is adjusted with the stuffing box cover by means of the pressing bushing. The stuffing box cover is common for the entire range of plungers. The plungers are tubular shaped and are hard chromium plated on the exterior. They are fastened by means of extension rod and a nut.

Swivel joints are 22R type (2 elbows and 2 hinges) and are of forged alloy steel with hardened grooves. Hinges are sealed by means of one gasket which is mounted without pretightening. The covers that close access to hinge balls are machined in mounted conditions and therefore are not interchangeable.
The elbows are provided with quick unions, sealed by one rubber gasket which shall be replaced when its condition indicates marked wear. The threaded joints of the swivel joints are hydrostatic tested.

These pumps are some of the most compact assemblies as compared to the performances they can achieve and they have been designed for operating conditions of the cementing units to supply the mixer with water. The water pumps are driven from the secondary shaft of the gearboxes, by means of an elastic coupling or of a cardan shaft.
The water pumps are some gear pumps, their proper operation and volumetric efficiency being conditioned by radial and side clearance of the gears as against the pumps bodies and side covers respectively.
